Safety glass requirements
Glass is available as tempered
(link to tempered products page) and laminated
glass(link to laminated products pages). Design considerations as
well as external factors affecting the glass must be determined
in order to choose the type of glass that best meets your project's
safety requirements. We can help you with any of these considerations.
Laminated or tempered glass is often used for overhead glazing
as well as safety glazing when approved by building codes. It is
usually stronger and breaks into smaller pieces critical to safety
standards. Heat strengthened glass is not typically considered a
safety glazing material.
